About
The version, what Facet is built with, and the licences it is under.
The About tab has no settings to change. It says which version of Facet you are running, which is the number to quote when you write in about a fault.
It is also on the status icon's menu. Right click the icon and choose About Facet, and Settings opens on this tab. On Linux, your desktop decides how its tray menu opens. It is there on purpose: Facet's windows are drawn with Slint, whose licence asks for an About screen that can be reached from the application's top level menu, and the status icon's menu is that menu.
Built with
Facet's windows are drawn with Slint, used under the Slint Royalty-free Desktop, Mobile, and Web Applications License, version 2.0. The badge is Slint's, and under it are the Slint version in use and its address.
Licence
Facet is licensed under the Apache License 2.0, copyright 2026 Harry Phillips. Its source is at github.com/tuxcomputers/FacetApp, and the tab shows that address as text at the foot.
The activity icons, the pictures you choose for a category, are TimeFlip's copyrighted set. They are used by permission granted for this project, and that permission does not transfer with the code.
The notices for Slint, the icons, the Inter typeface and the Rust libraries Facet is built from
are in NOTICE.md in the repository.
